For the first full-length Odd Future project since Channel Orange, Domo Genesis, the crew’s resident sleepy-eyed stoner, has teamed up with the Alchemist, the veteran rap producer who has become something of a psych-rap visionary in recent years. Over the last couple of years, Domo has vastly improved as a rapper, and Alchemist is quietly building an argument that he’s one of rap’s all-time great producers, so I’ve been waiting for this one. We’ve already heard the great Earl Sweatshirt/Vince Staples/Action Bronson collab “Elimination Chamber,” and the rest of the tape also has appearances from Freddie Gibbs, Prodigy, Smoke DZA, Spaceghostpurrp, and Tyler, The Creator.
